Moggi insists: I'm staying with Juventus
tribalfootball.com - September 29, 2005
Juventus director general Luciano Moggi says he will remain with the club beyond when his current contract expires in 2006.
"I stay, I stay with Juventus - and my contract is not going to expire: it is set to an indeterminate time," said Moggi, who has been linked with AC Milan.
"It's not nice to speak of this now in respect to the shareholders. But I will stay with Juve."
On his meeting with Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi earlier this month, Moggi explained: "I was there as a courtesy to thank him for loaning us Christian Abbiati."

Moratti offers Juventus chief Moggi free reign at Inter Milan
tribalfootball.com - September 29, 2005
While he insists he's staying at Juventus beyond the end of this season, Luciano Moggi is being linked with a shock move away this week.
Director general Moggi's contract at Juve expires this summer and AS Roma have emerged as a possible destination next season.
However, Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti has also been in touch and is prepared to hand over the club's entire technical division for Moggi to run.
The Juve chief was also in talks with AC Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi, who made it clear earlier this month that he wants to sign him.

Udinese put Iaquinta on sale for £8M
tribalfootball.com - September 29, 2005
Udinese are ready to sell striker Vincenzo Iaquinta for £8 million.
"Iaquinta will leave in either January or June," club spokesman Guido Gomirato told Radio Centro Suono. "The player will go to whoever offers the £8m or £9m that is needed. He won't go for anything less."
Iaquinta is currently contracted to the club until June 2007, but the Bianconeri want his future resolved as soon as possible.
"We don't want to get in a position like Roma, who have Antonio Cassano there with just eight months left on his contract," he added.
"Roma should have made their move sooner even if I don't really want to comment about other clubs.
"Udinese just don't want to run the same risk."
Gomirato also commented on possible interest from Roma and Internazionale for the Azzurri regular.
"I don't think Roma have the funds necessary to finance the move, even if Cassano is sold," he noted.
"Iaquinta would be a good fit at Inter. Boss Roberto Mancini likes him as he can play as a first or second striker."

Siena veteran Chiesa enjoying scoring form
tribalfootball.com - September 29, 2005
Siena veteran striker Enrico Chiesa admits he is enjoying some of the best form of his career.
Nearly 35, Chiesa has struck four goals in five games and declared: "I haven't felt this good since when I was with Lazio.
"But back then I was soon on the sidelines after the injury in Florence.
"Now I want to make the most of this, to fight and to win. With Siena we have already succeeded by playing in Serie A again this season."

Treviso's Lorenzi fumes over Shevchenko ban
tribalfootball.com - September 29, 2005
Treviso defender Stefano Lorenzi is furious after being banned for three games for elbowing AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko.
"This is an outrageous injustice," slammed Lorenzi after learning of his three-match suspension. "It was a perfectly normal foul during play and not a malicious intervention at all. I feel robbed. I was tried on television, as all the programmes focused on that and made it look worse than it was."

Rijkaard dismisses Milan option Wednesday 28 September, 2005
Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard has distanced himself from rumours linking him with the Milan job.
Whispers have suggested that the Dutchman is being lined up to replace Carlo Ancelotti next summer.
But Rijkaard has rejected the idea of taking over from his former Rossoneri teammate on the San Siro bench.
"I don’t think about Milan at all," the tactician told Sky Italia. "I believe it is vital to respect those who are working with other clubs.
"My heart will always be with Ancelotti and (assistant boss Mauro) Tassotti, plus all those who work at Milan.
"I still have great affection for the Rossoneri, but talking of a move there for me is simply wrong."
Rijkaard is one of Europe’s top tacticians after his entertaining Barcelona side won the Liga title last term.
The former Holland boss, who saw his side dumped out of Euro 2000 at the semi-final stage by Italy, is tied to the Nou Camp outfit until 2009.
He joined Barca in 2003 and last night saw his boys comfortably beat Udinese 4-1 in the Champions League.
Ancelotti’s deal with Milan expires in June 2007.
