Juventus - Reggina (Channel4)
Juventus are seemingly unstoppable at the moment and will be confident of maintaining their perfect home record against a battling Reggina side in this Stadio Delle Alpi clash.
Fabio Capello’s superstars are showing no signs of easing off after Christmas. The Bianconeri followed Week 18’s 2-1 victory over Palermo, their 16th in 18 games, with a 4-1 demolition of Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.
Alessandro Del Piero has hit top form. His hat-trick against the Viola took him past Giampiero Boniperti’s goal scoring record and reinforced his bid for a ticket to Germany. The key to the League leaders’ success at home has been a mean defence - they have only conceded twice at the Delle Alpi all season.
Reggina boss Walter Mazzarri will try and inspire his side to repeat last season’s shock 2-1 victory over Juventus at the Stadio Oreste Granillo, but will be only too aware of the Amaranti’s poor away record. Reggina are without an away win and 16 of their 19 points have been earned at home and they have only scored five times on the road. However, Mazzarri must have been delighted with his side’s performance in Week 18’s 1-1 draw with high-flying Fiorentina and will ask his side to show belief in their ability to trouble Serie A’s giants.
Gigi Buffon played in the Coppa Italia tie on Tuesday, but Christian Abbiati - soon to return to Milan - may start. Capello’s only injuries are Alessandro Birindelli and Robert Kovac, both out for a month, and long-term absentee Jonathan Zebina who is approaching fitness.
The visitors welcome back Maurizio Lanzaro and Giacomo Tedesco, but must do without Rolando Bianchi. Francesco Cozza remains suspended.
Juventus (probable): Abbiati; Zambrotta, Thuram, Cannavaro, Chiellini; Camoranesi, Emerson, Vieira, Nedved; Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet
Reggina (probable): Pavarini; Lanzaro, Franceschini, De Rosa; Lucarelli; Mesto, Paredes, Tedesco, Modesto, Vigiani; Amoruso

Fiorentina have been stunned by the news that goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has been ruled out for three months with partially ruptured knee ligaments.
Frey received the injury in a clash with Juventus striker Marcelo Zalayeta in the 4-1 Italian Cup defeat at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
With the unproven second goalkeeper Marco Roccati having made just three appearances for the Viola, the Tuscan side are now in the market for a goalkeeping replacement.

Fiorentina's Bojinov: I'd love Bayern Munich move
tribalfootball.com - January 12, 2006
Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov has made a 'come and get me' plea to German giants Bayern Munich.
The Bulgaria international said: "It would appeal a lot to me to play for Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. I know that there is interest from Bayern and I know that the Viola leadership has asked, for my transfer, £8 million.
"I am happy in Florence, but I want to play more; because otherwise it becomes difficult to maintain my fitness."

Chelsea keeper Cudicini on Fiorentina shortlist
tribalfootball.com - January 12, 2006
Fiorentina management are drawing up a shortlist of goalkeeper transfer targets following the knee injury suffered by No1 Sebastien Frey.
Top of the list is Inter Milan keeper Francesco Toldo, who is off contract in the summer. However, working against the deal is Inter, which are likely to demand a transfer involving striker Valeri Bojinov.
Also in Fiorentina's sights is Chelsea's Italian reserve goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, who manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to release if he can find an adequate replacement. Portsmouth are also eyeing Cudicini.
Another on Fiorentina's list is Lazio contract rebel Matteo Sereni, who has fallen out with coach Delio Rossi in recent days.

AC Milan, Inter in talks with Marchionni agent
tribalfootball.com - January 12, 2006
Inter Milan face stiff competition for Parma winger Marco Marchionni.
Marchionni is off contract in June and has assured Parma management he will play out the season with them.
Inter are seen as favourites for the winger, however Marchionni's agent, Bruno Carpeggiani, met with his client yesterday to inform him of enquiries from Juventus and AC Milan.
Like Milan, Inter officials met with Carpeggiani earlier this week to begin talks over a pre-contract agreement.

Juventus chief Moggi in London for Chelsea talks
tribalfootball.com - January 12, 2006
Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has been in London this week for talks with Chelsea.
Moggi has declared his interest in Blues defender William Gallas, who is ready to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer after failing to get the pay-hike he is demanding.
Gallas is currently on £1.7 million-a-year at the Blues, but wants £3.5 million-a-year. His present deal expires in 2007.
Gallas could buy out the final year of his contract after a new FIFA ruling was introduced allowing such a process for players who have been with clubs for five years or more.
Along with Gallas, Moggi also spoke with Chelsea about Adrian Mutu with the London giants reportedly chasing compensation after they sacked the Romanian over a failed drugs test last season.

Juventus coach Capello: Messi my dream signing
tribalfootball.com - January 12, 2006
Juventus coach Fabio Capello has again admitted his great admiration for Lionel Messi.
Asked about his transfer plans, Capello replied: "It isn't easy to improve a team like Juve which is 95 per cent perfect.
"We won't be making any signings in January.
"Michael Ballack is someone who could give us something extra, but my great dream is Lionel Messi."
Capello first praised Messi when the Barcelona whiz played against Juve in a friendly earlier this season.
The Juve master coach added: "For sure, I am here until 2007. The thing I can say with certainty is that three years from now I will stop coaching."
