On 9 April 1905, the dreams of a group of youngsters came true. The students, who had founded Juventus just eight years previously, watched a legend come to life as the club sealed its first Scudetto.

Back then, the league format was drastically different to today’s Serie A championship, comprising of just six fixtures.

That memorable afternoon saw the Bianconeri celebrate Scudetto success without even taking to the field. Two 3-0 victories over FBC Torinese in the Piedmont round, followed by two wins against Milanese and two draws against Genoa in the final stages, left Juve sitting pretty at the top of the table on six points and eagerly awaiting the result of Milanese’s clash with Genoa.  Both teams played out a 2-2 draw, with Juventus’ one-point lead proving enough to clinch their first title.

On 22 April 2003, Marcello Lippi’s Juventus side travelled to the Nou Camp to face their quarter-final return leg clash against Barcelona. The score was locked at 1-1 following goals from Montero and Saviola at the Delle Alpi. And the Bianconeri responded to the challenge by grinding out a fine 2-1 victory. Nedved and Zalayeta were on target as Juventus held on during extra-time after having Davids sent off.

Despite being contested almost a decade ago, the game involved many key figures who continue to play a prominent role to this day. Antonio Conte remained on the bench for the encounter, while his counterpart Luis Enrique featured for the entire 120 minutes. Also in action were Buffon, Del Piero, Xavi, Puyol, Zambrotta, Di Vaio, Thiago Motta, Nedved, Pessotto and Ferrara.

Cách đây 11 năm, Ngày 5 tháng 5 năm 2002. Trận cuối cùng của Serie A 2001-2002. Trước trận đấu: Inter 69, Juve 68, Roma 67. Sau khi tan trận: Juve 71, Roma 70, Inter 69. Đó là một trong những buổi chiều giàu cảm xúc nhất calcio Serie A.

Đến Hitchcock cũng không thể viết ra kịch bản nào kinh hơn :

Ngày này 40 năm trước, 20 tháng 5 năm 1973, đội Bianconeri của huấn luyện viên Cestmir Vycpalek’đã mừng scudetto lần thứ 15 trong trận đấu kịch tính điên rồ cuối cùng của mùa giải. Lúc đó cả ba đội AC Milan, Lazio và Juventus cùng có cơ hội vô địch. Milan đang dẫn đầu với 43 điểm, Juventus và Lazio đều kém hơn 1 điểm đằng sau.

Niềm hi vọng của Lazio tắt ngấm khi họ chịu thất bại 0-1 tại Napoli. Cùng lúc đó, vì chịu áp lực bởi hơi thở dồn dập của Juventus phía sau (thắng 5 trận gần nhất) khiến AC Milan bị cuốn vào một trận đấu khốc liệt ở Verona với Hellas Verona và thua 3-5! Còn tại Roma, một bàn của José Altafini trong hiệp một (sau đó bị gỡ hòa) và một bàn vào phút 87 cùng của Antonello Cuccureddu giúp Juventus đánh bại AS Roma 2-1, vượt lên trên Milan, giành scudetto lần thứ 15. Lần thứ 2 liên tiếp Juventus lên ngôi vô địch, lần thứ 2 liên tiếp AC Milan ngậm đắng về nhì. Đối với Juventus, hẳn lần thứ 2 sẽ ngọt ngào hơn lần thứ nhất. Còn với Ac Milan, lần thứ 2 thì lại thật là đắng hơn nhiều lần.

Và đây được coi là một trong những ngày phấn khích nhất trong lịch sử Juventus. Báo Corriere dello Sport giật title "Hitchcock ha detto Juve" (tạm dịch: Hitchcock đã gọi tên Juve).

Hôm nay là kỷ niệm 7 năm ngày Alessio Ferramosca và Riccardo Neri qua đời vì tai nạn đuối nước. Hằng năm Juventus vẫn có những hoạt động kỷ niệm dành cho Alessio và Riccardo để mọi người hiểu rằng hai bạn ấy đã mãi mãi là một phần của Juventus.
